Breastfeeding Support
The Breastfeeding Support Group is aimed at expectant parents who would like to find out more about their feeding options.
It is not assumed that just because you attend the Breastfeeding Group that you will breastfeed, simply that you would like to consider all the options open to you, and to do this you will need a basic level of knowledge and a good support network around you.
The group focuses on making you feel confident and one of the key issues for parents considering breastfeeding, is often lack of support, and this can lead to parents feeling immense pressure, either because mum was a pro-breastfeeder who produced so much milk she could have supplied Tesco, or because surrounding friends and family were unable or chose not to breastfeed.
The group creates a support network of people who will be experiencing feeding baby at the same time as you, and who will encounter many of the problems and difficulties that you might.
